CBN Men’s Team Shines in Inaugural North West League Tournament
On Sunday, 1st September, the CBN Men’s team, comprising players from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams, traveled to Sedbergh School to compete in the very first North West League tournament. The team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the day, finishing at the top of their group based on goals scored, with an impressive record of 5 wins and only 1 loss.
The CBN Men’s team played great hockey across all matches, securing victories with scores of 2-0, 2-0, 3-1, 4-1, and 1-0. Their only defeat came in a narrow 1-0 loss, showcasing their competitive spirit and resilience in every game. It was particularly encouraging to see the club’s youth making significant contributions, with four players from last season's Development team now challenging for spots in the Men's 1st and 2nd teams.
A huge thank you goes out to all the players, coaches, and supporters who contributed to making it a great day of hockey. We would also like to express our gratitude to the umpires from the North West Hockey League who all did a great job and to the league itself for organising such a successful event. We eagerly look forward to participating again next year!
